Chainsaw, splitter, hauling, stacking. Whether you process 15 cubic metres for yourself or 500 for customers – 60 to 70 percent of the work is in thin wood under 20 cm. Crown wood, thinnings, the material that comes in bulk and that you have to feed through piece by piece. The thick logs are done in ten minutes. But the thin wood – that’s the time killer. And that’s exactly where the Spaltmeister comes in.

Cutting to length, splitting, sizing for the stove and loading – all in one pass. Round wood in, ready-to-burn logs out, straight into the trailer or BigBag. The Spaltmeister 3400 is not a firewood processor – it’s a cutting splitter: simpler technology, no hydraulics, no saw. Built for wood up to 21 cm that accounts for most of the work. Whether 15 cubic metres a year or 50 a day.
No hydraulics
Hydraulic splitters are prone to breakdowns. Because our system is so simple, there are virtually no points of failure.
Only 1.6m wide
With the conveyor folded in, you can drive on normal roads without worrying about width restrictions.
3.4m conveyor belt
Your freshly split wood goes exactly where it should: into the BigBag, the trailer, or simply onto a pile.
680 kg weight
At just 680 kg, the Spaltmeister is easy to move into position. Stable footing on every job – and light enough for any tractor.
35 HP minimum
Your tractor only needs 35 HP minimum. If you try to split wood that’s too hard, the tractor simply stalls – no damage, just keep going.
Max. 540 RPM
Ready to run at just 300 RPM – a standard 540 PTO is more than enough. The Spaltmeister operates in the efficient RPM range and saves fuel – ideal for working with any standard tractor.

In professional use, the Spaltmeister runs all day without fatigue. For personal use, you’re done in a few hours for the entire year. And because it runs without hydraulics – purely from the PTO at 35 HP – you skip the typical repairs that hydraulic splitters cost every year.

Who is behind MEHOMA?
We are Freya and Johannes, a family with a house, a farm, kids, and very little time. Johannes has years of experience as a forester. In 2022, we developed the MEHOMA Spaltmeister 3400 – a cutting splitter that processes thin wood into ready-to-burn firewood in a single pass. What used to take three weeks, we now finish in one day. Today, forestry contractors, forest owners and self-suppliers use the Spaltmeister in daily professional operation.
In 2022, we discovered a machine concept in the Baltics: firewood done in one day – but the quality wasn’t right. So we developed a new solution with a machine builder: the MEHOMA Spaltmeister 3400.
MEHOMA stands for MEin HOlz MAchen – efficient, well-thought-out, and enjoyable. What used to take three weeks, we now finish in one day. And the best part: we share this solution.
So more people can leave the stress of firewood behind – and get their time back.
